Master in Construction Management

M.Sc. program in Construction Management at MBMAN aims to enhance professional and technical skills by focusing on the managerial, economic, technical, legal and business skills needed in the changing construction sectors in Nepal and overseas. The program assists the students to enhance knowledge, technical managerial skills, and exposure of the practicing construction managers, engineers, project managers, and entrepreneurs in the global perspective. Rapid changes in the construction technology and increased complexity of project have demanded the highly specialized human resources to organize and manage effective construction projects. . Therefore, the M.Sc. in Construction Management has intended to prepare construction managers, capable of using state-of-art knowledge and skills in planning, organizing and managing construction works effectiveness.

It is a full time, two-year program and stretched over four semesters. The M.Sc. CM students are required to complete 60 credits including 15 courses and a thesis. The Master of Science in Construction Management (M.Sc. CM) program is designed to bring corporate change in Nepal through competent construction managers, executives, and entrepreneurs capable of becoming strategic change agents in the corporate and social world. The program focuses on developing social and developmental outlook and adequate skill in analysis, decision-making, implementation, leadership, and communication among the students with real life applications.

The prospect of an MSc in Construction Management program in Nepal is promising due to the country’s growing construction and infrastructure development sector. Nepal has been experiencing rapid urbanization and an increasing demand for construction projects, including roads, bridges, housing, and hydropower projects, which creates a need for skilled construction managers.

Eligibility to Apply

Bachelor’s Level graduates from the relevant field of engineering are eligible to join the program. However, the applicant must have a minimum of 15 years formal education (12 years of schooling plus three years of undergraduate). Furthermore, the applicant must have secured a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or 45 percent in Bachelor’s level.

The following are the relevant field of engineering: Civil engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydropower Engineering and Architecture.

  • ADMISSION PROCESS; As per Entrance Exam conducted by Pokhara University
  • 15 Seats (2 intake per year and including 2 scholarship seats per intake)
  • FEE – Rs 4, 71,000/- for two years (Refundable Security Deposit Rs. 20,000)
